October GiO and ONE Winners Announced PDF Print E-mail

Apogee has selected the recipients of our monthly gear giveaway for registered users who have responded to our customer survey. David O’Donnell and Bobbie Townsend were randomly chosen as the month of October’s winners of a ONE (and its accessories) and a GiO (and carrying case), respectively.

We encourage all our customers to register their products with us, not only to ensure proper notification of updates and software releases but also to enable assistance should they need technical support. Apogee’s unparalleled customer service strives to make registration, support and follow up as efficient and accessible as possible, and customer registration allows us to streamline the support we offer. All registered users receive a follow up survey from Apogee shortly after registering their product, and all those who complete the survey are eligible to win either a GiO, Apogee’s guitar interface and foot pedal, or a ONE, Apogee’s USB microphone and pocket-sized recording interface, both sizable upgrades from the iTunes gift certificates previously offered.

About the Winners

David O’Donnell, winner of the Apogee ONE, is a 27-year-old specialist music radio producer, making weekly shows for DJs including Gilles Peterson, Charlie sloth and Pete Tong for the BBC and various other broadcasters. Originally from Philadelphia, Jeff now lives in London, moonlighting as a bedroom music producer. You can check out Jeff’s work at: soundcloud.com/cushtilla. "A free Apogee?” David says, surprised. “Your email was a great end to a miserable Monday! I've been a big fan of Apogee ever since I bought my Duet last year for my desktop and can't wait to check out the ONE for my laptop! Boooom!"

Bobbie Townsend, winner of the Apogee GiO, is a songwriter for TV/Film music and recording artists. A native of New York, Bobbie released her first CD in 2006. Teaming with producer Jay Weaver and Grammy award-winning engineer Charlie Pilzer, she recorded Liquid Emotion. To learn more about Bobbie, visit her website at: www.BobbieTownsend.com. “Apogee and Mac go together like champagne and caviar...both exquisite on their own, but together, it's musical magic!” She says on winning the GiO. “The constant dependability of my Apogee Duet has helped my creativity flow freely. I can't wait to plug in my Explorer into my GiO and rock!  Thanks Apogee!”
